When to visit
We operate in April, when the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails are open (April 1–30) and the wildflowers are at their best, typically peaking around the third week. The Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival caps the season — historically the second or third weekend of April, though 2027 dates haven't been announced yet. If you're traveling a long distance, plan around mid-April for the best odds of full bloom.
What you need to drive
Texas residents don't need a motorcycle license — a standard Class C driver's license is enough under Tex. Transp. Code §521.085(b), since the Slingshot is legally an autocycle. Coming from Houston
Houston has its own Slingshot rental operators, but none of them put you on the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails — the trails themselves are the differentiator, not just having a Slingshot to drive.
